[FIXED B976] game and pc freeze

Post by koketsu »

Hello, I have some problems with the game, I haven't been playing it since ages, and about one week ago I started a scenario but after a little while (let's say less than 20 minutes) the game crashed, I tryed to play a different scenario and after about the same time , 20 mins or so , the game started to run slowly and I had a game and pc freeze, so I had to reboot the pc, started a new scenario and again I had the same problem...I don't know if the problem is with my pc or with the game, but as far as I remember I never had this kind of problems in the past, it happened that in the more complex scenarios the game ran slowly but now it almost impossible to play any scenario till the end :(

Hm weird.

Could you please enable Debug logging in the Options menu, restart the game, run until the crash happens, and then zip the log file and attach to a post here on the forum.

The debug log file is located in <CommandInstallDir>\logs.

Thanks!

Dug into the log file and the game produces a million silent exceptions in the Air Ops window. Which is interesting.

Can you upload a savegame from when this situation arose, and also provide some details on what game operations you did prior.

That'd be fantastic!

Thanks!

I also see it fails on Autosave sometimes. Can you try to disable Autosave in the Options window? Does it work better now?

Thanks to you! :)

Yes I'm using Steam, this is the scenario I'm actually playing, I turned off autosave but still same problem.

Before the crash I launched a tlam strike of 8 missiles against S-300 battery East of Pristina, than a second strike with 8 tlams against S-300 battery South of Pristina, with 8 more SLAM missiles launched from a group of fa-18c right after the last TLAM impacted the target, now there are other 8 TLAMS inbound the S-300 SW of Pristina, there is an EA-6B orbiting over the Serbian/Bulgarian border providing ECM support for all the 3 strikes against S-300, all the other operations are planned missions, CAP, ELINT supoport, ECM support, AEW support.
I noticed also that aircrafts are not obeing doctrine ruels, refuelling is not allowed but they still head towards nearest tanker.

Thanks, I've fixed the silent exception thingie and I think the scenario should run a lot better in B976 [8D]

As for 'Killer #1' flying north to refuel, the doctrine has been set on the aircraft itself that it can refuel. If you open the Doctrine window for the aircraft and press the Reset Doctrine (use inherited settings) button, it will use the mission settings which say Do Not Refuel.
