Pinned Status when Routing

Post by LN59 »

Hi, Folks!

Are Broken and Broken+ Personnel Units (Leader, Squad, Half-squad) really
able to move during the Rout Segment although under 'Pinned' Status?
Please, see the attached picture and explanations...
Is it a Rule issue or a graphic bug?
I have carefully read the Game Manual (8.1.8 Rout Segment, 8.2.1 Personnel Status,
9.5 Routing Broken Units) but found no clear answer.

Thank U for a clarification!
Best Regards,
LN59

(Sorry: no saved game for that situation of play)

Although only Peter can provide a definitive answer, I suppose the "Broken" status should replace the less severe "Pinned". The "Pinned" marker should then disappear when the squad becomes "Broken". The routed squad will gain the dubious advantage of being able to rout away but it will require some time before being able to take part in the fight again.

Its just a visual/graphics defect, when a personnel unit is marked as Broken the pinned marker should be removed. This defect will be resolved in UPDATE4 as outlined here:

Thank You very much, Peter and UP844, for your quick and clear answers.
So, it was only a matter of updating the marker's graphic status on the screen!
My Best Encouragements and Wishes to Peter for his creativity and patience (and Jörgen too),
and to the whole Community in sustaining that great game in such a friendly and worldwide way.

Best Regards,
Lilian
