Tiller Campaign Series

Post by paulolkowski »

I own the Tiller Campaign Series and enjoy it very much. I have one question: When I generate a battle in East Front or West Front (usually a battalion level) the units seem to be very far apart at the beginning. It takes 6 or 7 turns to get them in the formation I want. Is there a reason for that? Thanks for your games. paul o.

Its been awhile since I played but remember that I could select a unit and move it to a new starting position before scenario begins. Have you tried selecting a unit and clicking on a empty hex to relocate? Not sure if I remember correctly but try left click to select a unit and left click to relocate (or right click to relocate if left click does not work).

But yes, you should be able to re position your units before the scenario begins. I remember clicking on the formation? button so that all units with same HQ would be highlighted, then grouped those units together. This is all based on some distant memories so I could be off a bit on some of the details. Hope this helps.

I tried what you suggested but the unit will only move according to the movement points. I can't get it to where I want it. Thanks anyway though.

It will depend on the scenario in the campaign. Certain scenario types will have your forces starting off the map, and when that happens they will arrive randomly.
