Defensive Fire with a LMG whose Squad is caught in Melee?

Good Evening!

Today, another question about the weird ability to fire with a LMG whose Squad
is under <MELEE> status (please, see the attached picture & comment).
Question: isn't it a defective - or is it an effective - in game possibility?
Reading Melee Rules (8.1.9 & 8.1.10), SW (8.2.2), SW Fire (9.2.2) and the Melee
definition (Glossary, page 101) didn't give to me any satisfying answer.

Hi LN59,

Correct, you found a bug - any weapon belonging to a personnel unit locked in a Close Combat/Melee cannot fire. I have fixed the bug today and the fix will be part of the coming up UPDATE4.
