Empires in Arms is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. Empires in Arms is a seven player game of grand strategy set during the Napoleonic period of 1805-1815. The unit scale is corps level with full diplomatic options

Is there some sort of guide to what the game will cover. I had the board game - but never actually played it (for lack of players).

Sorry to be a nuisance but I can't see any FAQs topics

Search altavista - SEIA + cellfish

Should get the information you are looking for. No units, order of battle and so forth, but it will get you started. There are a page EIA + bastion, where you can get the corp sizes and some other stuff.

I hope Matrix don't mind me telling you this...
