lend lease planes

Post by jjdenver »

I think in the boardgame, that if you have a plane built and want to lend lease it to another country you can move it to that country and if that country has a pilot available it can change nationality. For example US could build the P-40C, move it by TRS to FG sz, unload it into Glasgow and if CW has a PIL available in reserve pool then it's replaced by the CW P-40C lend lease version.

This is also possible between for example Germany and Italy by flying a German plane to Italy, taking the GE PIL out & using an IT PIL then putting the IT version (lend lease) of plane on map instead.

Is this possible in game?

No. I haven't seen anything in the rules that say this should be possible. In-house rule by your group?

If the air unit has been built and piloted, then it can not be lend leased.

Use Ctrl-J to bring up the Lend Lease form for air units. It will show you what is possible in MWIF.

This is a RAW8 rule.
