Failed Southern Iraqi Annexation

I'm playing a PBEM++ game and had the Iraq coup fire.
As the Allies I choose 'Yes' to the Iraqi Sanctions option.
I received the message about Annexing Southern Iraq/Persia, but it didn't happen on screen. Nor did it happen at my turn's end.
My opponent has taken his turn and it apparently didn't happen on his end either.
I've started my next turn (including moving the free unit) and the territory still hasn't been transferred.
The game is on the server in the midst of my turn.

I'm pretty sure you're just supposed to get basra from that event the rest comes from another event when the USSR is at war.

Alright I reread the DE*
Appears you are right.

However, unless my memory is wrong I could swear I saw the computer getting more territory before the joint invasion.
Maybe I wasn't paying attention correctly.


*Though was the trigger for DE106 changed to 3 hexes of El Alamein? You were not 2 hexes away. Didn't count the distance to Alexandria to see if that was 5 or not.

Yeah, I was 3 hex which is why I was surprised it triggered.

Makes up for my lost tanks!
