newb questions

Post by jjdenver »

Is there some document to follow along with while playing the tutorial? Nothing seems to be "tutoring" me here. :)

Also I have blue lines all over my map and I'm not sure why or how to get rid of them. Anyone know?

In the reports tab of the controls buttons there's a button to turn on / off the objective tracks. Toggle it.

It's a bug, those lines turn on for no reason occasionally, the '/' key also toggles them, so I thought it might be human error. I was finally able to reproduce it and I've tracked it down and it should be in the first patch. No date yet for that.

Once you get comfortable with the PO Assist, you will know what to do with those.

If you want to handle everything yourself and don't use PO Assist (which I don't but happy its available for really large scenarios) you can go to the menu bar and select "Play/Player Options" and turn off "Show PO Assist buttons".

EDIT:
OOPS, just tested this and found that option does nothing with the new UI PO Assist buttons, just the old version option. Hmmm... Well, normally those track buttons are not selected and you should make sure they are dimmed out on the "Report" UI panel.

Click on the document button while the tutorial scenario is selected:

Do you have Word? If not, there are Word readers available on line.

Some scenarios use Word format, others PDF. This depends on what the original scenario designer selected, unfortunately.
