Classic view disappears on zoom

hello

I like using the classic view as it fits my laptop screen a little better, but whenever I zoom, the UI disappears, can this be changed so that it stays present after zooming in or out?

I'll look into it. It was fixed at one time. How are you zooming?

I get the same thing, using the Options > Map View drop down, 1280 x 1024 with W7.
