Barbarosa 41. Ju87 as Air superiority?

Post by xavutrecht »

All the Ju87 units are set with Air Superiority missions.
I find it a bit weird, is that correct?

Click on it to change the mission. Turn of the Air Staff Assistant if you have it turned on.

It might not make the best choice in all cases but I do like to use the air assistant. It makes the job done, and I can manually tweak the missions if I want to.

...if I want to.
I usually HAVE to. Ju-87's on AS missions is typical of what
Elmer does.

Historically, some of the top Ju-87 pilots were "aces" in terms of enemy planes shot down. Hans-Ulrich Rudel, a JU-87 pilot, had 9 air victories to add to his 500 or more tank kills (and a few ships)...WOW!!! How would you like to be in a Russian tank when he was flying overhead?

No doubt they were much better in their intended role...but in times of desperation...who knows?

Did you ever read his book? It was quite interesting. He was an amazing pilot.
