Scenario easy enough for beginner?

Post by xavutrecht »

Hi,

Looking for doable battles, not too many turns, not too many units.
Any suggestion for beginners?

Try these:

- Korea 50-51 (it's been duplicated as the "Tutorial" scenario, but is in the "Modern - Asia" folder as well)
- Kassarine 43 (Also in the Tutorial folder, but that's more of a "good full scenario for beginners" designation)
- Cuba 62 (Get your feet wet with amphibious landings and a short unit list, on a smaller body of land. Cuba's not exactly a pushover, though!)
- Malta 42 (A what-if of a full Axis invasion of Malta instead of committing to the Afrika campaign. The Brits have to hold out until massive reinforcements arrive, it's fun)

I'll suggest Arracourt 44, 8 turns.
I'm playing TOAW for the first time and trying this to understand the basics without being overwhelmed.

I think Crusader 41 is a great beginner scenario. Having fun with it.

There's nothing out there any easier than my "Denmark Strait 1941" scenario. (six units and one turn). AND you get a little experience with the new naval stuff.

I was going to mention that one also.

I loved Dragoon 44 (as allies), 20 turns max, the map is large with a small scale but you don't control too many units, can experience landing and progress across a large country, germans are really weak and the air interdiction is almost enough to win by itself.
War in the East 2 / West. Warplan Pacific. Command Ops. DC:Barbarossa. Flashpoint Campaigns. TOAW4. CMANO.
Flight simmer.
