Desert War Update

Post by Benedict151 »

Hello all
We realise we have not been very communicative regarding Desert War recently

Rest assured we, or rather 'St Ruth' (Desert War's developer) has been hard at work with the beta testers polishing and improving the game

Progress has been steady but partly as a result of feature requests from us (e.g. difficulty levels), and some excellent suggestions from testers (many in the area of making the game easier to play, but without 'dumbing it down') we have put the release back

However we are now on the 'finishing straight', focussing on AI improvements, getting a final "fix list" together, doing some art polish and generally tidying up. Then it will be the manual and translation work.

It would be tempting fate to venture a release date at this point but as said, we are getting closer with every day

regards

The fallout from releasing half-baked AAA titles on Steam are legendary. That's why I like Matrix/Slitherine. They rarely release unfinished games. Sometimes the anticipation can be (almost) as good as the real thing, so thanks for your diligence. A must-buy for many people I think.

Hope the Italians on front did as well as Rommel expected and Monty found first hard resistance in his personal crusade; Rommel knew they did stop the Line, and monty had to cross the desert where panzers ACHTUNG¡

it said something about registering on the forum ...before applying to be a tester.
it also appears...I am a rather late participant perhaps.

the one screen I saw of the game so far...reminded me of the original of art of war. :)
not sure if I need do more before applying to be a beta tester.
