The Valiant rolling over and exploding following being torpedoed in the med by a Germany submarine, what won't they do to claim a British BB in the Pacific.

It is Barham (pronounced Barram). Valiant has the reconstructed superstructure and narrow funnel. Barham retains the forward rangefinder topped conning tower. Hard to spot when she is upside down and exploding.

The only QE to be sunk in either world war.

Sorry for no Posting this week. I am sure Dan put in his AAR that I had to blaze out to Manhattan, KS to be with my Mother. She had to have immediate Surgery Tuesday and so I have been out there until last night. Prognosis is bad so I shall be making regular trips out and will install the game onto my business laptop so I can do AAR and Game Work.

Dan is gone today and tomorrow so I shall run the turn after church and Post any action.

Sorry to hear about your mother, mate. I've been doing my share of the 'drop everything and fly cross-country' elder parent jig lately too. [:(]

Obviously, your priorities are well-placed. The game, and your AAR readers, can wait.

Choices...

Choices...

CHOICES....

I always make a bid to do something 'deep' within the Japanese Offensive. In my current game against Lew I have taken ALL of Australia. Where to go this time?

Options:
1. Normal John Expansion: Original Perimeter, plus SE down to New Caledonia, NW Australia, and Dutch Harbor west in the Aleutians.
2. SE Thrust: Drive to take everything including Pago Pago and Suva.
3. Southern Thrust: Take New Zealand
4. Australia
5. Left Hook into India: Take Calcutta and all of NE India
6. Heavy Left Hook: Above plus Ceylon
7. India
8. All out China Attack

Throw 4 out since I've done that. Taking all of India--to me--is impossible so probably throw that out. HATE land warfare in China and it is unrealistic for Japan to actually take all of China (through it can be done in the GAME).

This leaves 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 9.

Am open to thoughts and opinions.

Have at it!

EDIT: 9. Australia Medium: Bowen--Cloncurry--Tennant Creek Line

Not Bad¡...not bad...yes i kind of play like this plan...just for UNCOUMON VALOUR days¡

Thanks guys. I know it is the circle of life but that doesn't make it any easier. Lost dad five years ago and thought my Mom pretty much invincible. Great lesson learned here for anyone willing to listen--do your regular check-ups including those you wish to avoid. READ: Colonoscopy. Mom didn't and it was way too late when found...

We can still win on the ground. Dan sent some harassing Chinese Corps into the north and they have been getting pounded:

Known too many people who did the same same thing. Best wishes to your entire family.

Payers and thoughts of well wishes for your mother and your family. I am fortunate to have both my parents, 85 and 83. They both had back surgery in the past 18 months and went and spent a month with each when it was their time for surgery. Dad has had some other recent health challenges, but got a clean bill of health Friday. Mom started playing golf again this summer at 85. We don't know what we have until it's gone.

Haven't done a turn since I got back from Manhattan. Just don't have very much excitement running the turn and watching events unfold. If we were in 1942 or 1943 I might have more but life just doesn't feel very positive at the moment and watching a 1945 turn play out is TOTALLY depressing!

Sorry...just a little depression.

On the bright side my Mom made it to my sister's in Wichita and appears to be in much better spirits and is recovering from the surgery. We'll get the oncologist verdict next Thursday.

On the dark side, it appears my beloved wife is having a kidney stone. This is about an every two year event that brings a 50-50 chance of surgery to remove the blasted things. We're 2 & 2 with stones passing and stones surgery. She states having two babies was far less painful. CRAP! I watched that and it scared the tar out of me. Cannot imagine a stone being worse! Semi-glad to be a male here gang!

Big smiles...
