Little something I want added

Post by Fallschirmjager »

Looking at screenshots I can see that the bars now reflect how much strength your units started at as well was what it is currently...but the numbers do not

I would like to see a number for the starting number of personal and vehicles as well as how many are left

Thanks

Its on the wish list, one of the problems is where to put it as the space to the right is used for FORCE totals if you select a HQ. Maybe we can convince everyone to go to 1200x1024 resolution :)

Works for me!

I'll let you grind all the way up to 1920 x 1440.

1280 x 1024 is almost normal now with most flat panels being designed for that resolution as the norm.

My motto is 17" 1280x1024 is < $100 USD, cut back on the beer runs if you can't afford it :D

1600 x 1200 is normal for higher end gear (19"+)

While you may be right on what's "normal" the fact still remains that in recent polling around 15 to 20% of people responding indicated they were still using 800 x 600. For some it's because of their eye sight. But for whatever the reason we as yet cannot afford to do away with 15-20% of sales. Maybe we can push the envelope a little next year when we're rich and famous ;)

Just be aware that the flat panels offer horrible scaling effects resulting in unreadable text so make sure your directly support the higher resolutions especially 1280x1024 or you risk killing off that market segment.

An example of this is Uncommon Valor which runs in only 800x600 and 1024x768. I cannot play it at all on my laptop's display as the scaling factor is horrible and I have an expensive laptop. If I didn't have multiple machines, it would have gone in the garbage pail.

It's a tough spot you are in as the wargaming market is obviously not that large a market segment, so you have to magically please everyone.

Perhaps you just need pop-up type panels to handle the added data that can't fit on the 800x600 screens.

You will be glad to know that you can set the resolution to whatever value you like, as long as it is at least 600 pixels high.
