I'm embroiled in a land war in Asia. I'm not so sure that's a good thing. There's plenty of places left for the
Allies to launch strategic attacks on the home islands from China so I'm wondering what the effort is for. I need
to switch up my priorities I think.

Here is a portion of the China front. I like to see as many Japanese units in China as possible. There are only 6 Marine divisions in the entire war so I can't afford to have hordes of unemployed Japanese divisions sitting on the Islands ready to greet the Marines.

This shows the Burma/Rangoon/Indochina front. As Allied troops enter this area I can push to open new fronts for the Japanese Army. Singapore and Bataan are holding at the moment which slows the Japanese offensive giving the Allies time to get organized.

The Chinese in northern China are being a pest. The Japanese units are too small to push the Chinese around and their
units are too small to push me around so we're almost in a stalemate situation. Or a Mexican standoff. Every once in
a while I'll have enough supply to attack and it almost always goes nowhere and the target unit stays in it's hex and
I will have attacked once again. Not much movement up here.

The situation in the middle of China isn't all that great either. I'm repairing the rail to get some supply into the
front lines but that won't change the fact that the Jap units are too small and worn down and tired to push the
Chinese around. It's really slow going and I may not have that rail in my hands for months yet.

New moves from Thomas: While I was fat dumb and happy Thomas drove his partisans into my backfield and took over the
Hanoi area. They are assaulting Haiphong as we speak. I'm going to have to rail in some people to garrison the
Hanoi area because of the partisans. This happened because I left the Hanoi area naked and without any garrison at all.
This is my fault but I think I can recover. I'll have to repair the rail after getting rid of the partisans and that's
a minor hassle. It's probably not going to be easy to get rid of the partisans but that's the next step.

This is me bombarding the Allied positions at Port Moresby. I've been bombarding PM each turn for the last several
turns. I don't think it's doing much good. It's hard to tell. We'll have to ask Thomas what effect it's having.

Port Moresby is waiting for the Japanese ground troops to land and take them out. The shelling is having minor effects.

In Burma the Allies are moving against the Japanese to force more distraction to their offensives along with Vietnam and China.

The Allies have to delay for most of 1942. The Allied fleets are in hiding for survival.

So I'm checking out the expected reinforcements and I see how I'm slated to get five divisions and an HQ at a spot in
India. That's not going to happen anytime soon. But most of the rest of them seem doable.

I've got a group of people that need an LOC to better supply. They have one small port feeding them but that's
inadequate for the size of the force. I'm thinking of trying to open a supply LOC near the coast so that at
least SOME supply can trickle through.

I have squeezed the American and Phillippine forces into a small pocket ending with the city of Bataan and even with the
support of some BB's the Americans are putting up a pretty good fight. I think there's a supply point in Bataan that's
feeding them and they are getting replacements pretty regular I'm guessing. So their losses are being replaced and I
have to fight a better unit each turn. It's just a matter of time with the BB's there I think.

When you have overwhelming force compared to your target you tend to attack but my boys are getting way to far from the
rail and into low supply. I need to move the lines back to the rail and leave them there. They are there to protect
the rail and they don't need to be out in the jungle to do that.

There was some attacking during Thomas's turn. He's trying to do a left hook on my lines to outflank me and maybe
lengthen the lines in this area. I'm willing to concede the whole area to him and I'm thinking of pulling back to
Bangkok.

Here's the Hanoi area right now. I'm beginning to scrape together some semblance of order to the situation. I've moved
two partisans and undoubtedly there's more. Some of the bridges in this area are going to be slow to fix because most
of the engineers are off doing other things. I've got some engineers at Manila that are finishing up their work. I'll
move some of them to Hanoi.

I'm finding that the relatively large amount of supply isn't getting from the west side all the way over to the east
side on the group holding siege on Singapore. So I've started another supply line on the second rail to the east
from the existing one. I'm not sure it's the best thing to do but if anybody has a better idea I'm all ears.

The American units in the Bataan pocket receive zero replacements and they do not reconstitute. They do have some supply however. It is a matter of time.

I tried to tango with the AVG and got chewed up pretty well. And that was the best Navy squadron I had. I need to
gang up on the AVG I guess. Don't need no fair fight.

All that attacking and bombarding at Singapore has finally won me a hex. Now I need to repair the bridge before I
start attacking again so that I'm not attacking across a river. I've done enough of that for a while.

I have restored some of the rail service but there's a way to go yet go get it connected with the rail in the north
in the Hanoi area. Yeah, I missed my guess of where the railhead was by one hex. That's how fast it's being repaired.
I've got some more partisans to push back into the jungle where they belong; either that or actually kill them.
