Yes, Germany is going to send units to Italy. Not all this turn, but little by little. So that Italian units in France can stay there.ORIGINAL: AllenK
Game 1
Italy will do a Combined to initiate combat in Biscay.
I'll assume German units will defend Italy north of Rome and do a stock-take of units available for Southern Italy, South and South-West France and see what is feasible.

Game 1
This impulse Germany rails GAR from Liege Belgium to Leghorn Italy, MIL from Kiel to Brest and MTN div from Latvia to Trieste.
This impulse Germany destroys partisan in France and sends unit to Paris. So Italian units in northern France start moving SW as soon as Italy can afford to take land action.

Game 1
In my absence, carry on with Italy as discussed.
Japan takes a land this impulse.
Move GARR in Canton 1 hex towards Hong Kong. Bring INF into Canton. Retreat INF and HQ units in Manchuria a hex SE. 4-4 MAR to 68,152 and 6-3 MAR to resource hex. With Mukden taken, Manchuria will be conquered at the end of the turn, which will have implications for hex control, so will need to cover Port Arthur at some point. MOT to Haichow. INF in Soochow to 77,147. MIL takes place of MOT.
The intention then is to take a naval but I'll have to review as it'll depend on what the Allies have done. It'll be risky but has to be done at some point.
TRANS in Osaka takes MTN to Wonsan. CV in Tokyo to China Sea 4-box. CVL and BB's in Saigon to South China Sea 3-box. Ships at Formosa to China Sea 2-box. TRANS and AMPH's at Port Arthur to China Sea. This will certainly trigger an intercept as I suspect it's what the Allies are waiting for. Whatever the result, they go to the 2-box and load the units in Canton and Hong Kong. After that, it's in the lap of the gods but the naval air cover is in the 4-box for the best chance of spotting. For good measure, react the NAV at Sasebo to the 0-box.
If the units survive, they'll probably go to Manchuria (Port Arthur)/Korea but I might put a couple around Tsingtao to beef up Terauchi's command. Haven't quite decided and open to suggestions.

I have a question: what shall we do when Allies attack Greece and align Yugoslavia? Should we attack first using German INF from Bulgaria and Marine + divisions with a risk using Italian ships or just wait and put troops to all adjacent countries?

2 questions:
Do you want to leave 5-3 INF alone to mountains in Manchuria. USSR gets some 4:1 attack against it. Looks like USSR can flank you so that naval impulse not very likely.
When Chinese advance to Suchow and SW of Haicow, 6-3 INF goes OOS. If you want to take naval next impulse, do you want to place that 6-3 INF to east of Suchow?

Can you post a screenshot of Manchuria? I need to check but think it should be HQ and INF's 1 hex SW, not SE. If you have other suggestion for the withdrawal that covers the hex control, then I'm all ears.ORIGINAL: Mayhemizer

Which hex was 77,147? Hex to west of Soochow also looks good.

I have a question: what shall we do when Allies attack Greece and align Yugoslavia? Should we attack first using German INF from Bulgaria and Marine + divisions with a risk using Italian ships or just wait and put troops to all adjacent countries?
If we attack first and conquer Greece before Allies get 4 corps ashore, do we get to align Yugoslavia? Can we achieve this? If so, how long to get forces in place? Where are Allied AMPH/TRANS, INF Divs and SCS? A lot of Allied sea lift is supporting their effort in USSR. Can they get sufficient intervention forces in place before we can conquer?
If we go for Greece, have we also got enough to at least guard the Yugoslav border in case it goes pear shaped in Greece?
If it looks possible and not too much of a gamble then aligning Yugoslavia is attractive. If not, then assembling forces to guard the Yugoslav border and invading on Allied alignment may be sensible option. If Allies do DoW Greece, then Axis get whatever of the Greek navy that survives. Also, if the Allies didn't take Athens on the invasion impulse, would we get to align Yugoslavia on the next DoW step? Could be interesting if this all happens as turn end approaches.
If Allies want to align Yugoslavia, I think they are more likely to try by invading Italy, Sicily and/ or Albania.

China / Manchuria before movement. Moving both INF and HQ to SW makes sense if you want to defend Port Arthur to the end.

China / Manchuria moved by instructions. What I noticed, China and USSR can advance in two impulses (if next impulse Japan takes naval) so that two units in China are OOS. I think USSR will attack that lonely INF in mountains (some 4:1 attack before any ground support.

Thanks.
My instruction for the 6-3 INF move by Soochow was wrong. The hex should have been the one you suggested.
Rethinking Manchuria, move MAR's as before. Bring 5-3 INF to hex with HQ. HQ and other INF stay where they are.
Note what you say regarding the naval move. May have to split it across combined moves.

France would like to go first, but I’m not sure if it’s worth of reroll. How about no reroll and you roll strom to North Temperate?

Germany land, need to plan what to do in east. Can’t advance much or USSR attacks my weak flanks. I try to kill some units.
Can Italy initiate combat in BoB? One day we will roll 1!

Yes. Italy will go combined and send the NAV to the BoB 2-box. Japan will also have to go combined. I'll do part of the naval move outlined and withdraw the INF's and HQ in Manchuria 1 hex SE.

Suggestion:
Italy can rail MIL from Trieste to Reggio or some other place in southern Italy, Germany guards northern ports.
Italian INF div (in Nice) is needed in Pyrenees. I think Italy should place MOT units to Nice, Marseilles and 6-4 MOT 2 hexes east of Toulouse. AMR HQ should go to woods NW of Marseilles. Few cheaper Italian units (MIL, GAR and INF) are needed in Pyrenees.
---
German ground strikes:
Stuka in southern front attacks 58,59 (INF, MIL and AT gun) escorted by FW190. Stuka lands to woods in 54,59 and FW lands to 55,57 with Rumanian MECH.
Germany rail INF div from Riga to Barcelona.

If we want to give another try for BoB both Italy and Germany can use HQs to reorganize units. If Italy sends Sparviero to box 1 next impulse, Germany intercepts with FW190, Bf109, Bf110 and Stuka.
Italy has at the moment oil usage 1/1,2. After using one HQ and plane gain, it would be 1,4/1,6.

If not too late, I just remembered the other Jap rebase move. Bring the NAV at Saipan back to somewhere bordering Yellow and China Seas.
Like the idea but seems a bit of a waste to only go to the 1-box. I know it'll take air moves but could at least the Fw-190 be sent to the 2-box?
