Map Editor Problem

Post by Werewolf13 »

When moving the mouse over map in EDIT mode (and not when in edit mode for that matter) it leaves a trail of black. Can't create or edit map. See pic. Help.

Drivers? I have the same card but Windowz 10 and no problems.

If duct tape doesn't fix it then you are not using enough duct tape.

Always a good idea to check.

Latest and greatest - so - not the problem.

I'm wondering what could be drawing a window of that size in the editor. Not tooltips or anything else I can think of.

Yes, it is the tooltip. Had the same problem, solved it by removing the tooltip. In-game Player options, Tool Tip Show to the max. (Cannot access it from the editor because reasons.)

Ah ok. I didn't think the tooltip window was that big.

Thanks, that helped.

Loaded a scenario and went to player options. found Tool Tip Show and set it to max of 100,000. Seemed to resolve the problem but that's only because the tool tip essentially never pops.

Not a fix just a work around.

Issue has been discussed earlier here: tm.asp?m=4387036

Sounds like the Devs are aware of the issue.

Not the same issue. See my screen shot. Tool Tip appears and text appears almost instantly. Text remains as long as mouse stays in place. Move mouse - text disappears but black stays. moving the mouse to far left or right of screen clears black about half the time. The other half pushing the up/dn/left/right arrows on the keyboard will clear it.

This is very annoying and makes creating a new map very difficult.

What's wierd if you open a scenario with an existing map and enter the editor the above behavior does not occur.

For map editing I do what glau said. For me that is not a work around, it is standard procedure. Do not need the tool tip for editing.

This is doing my head in too. I've been working on a 120,000 plus hex map and this is driving me crazy, hope it gets fixed soon
