Lessons learned

Post by Ichili »

I am playing this game a lot -only as Greek so far- and learning some very preliminary lessons I would like to share here.
1- Frontal and even 'front-angled" ramming attempts from the front have been frequently costly. Many times when my ship is approaching its intended target to ram it, another enemy ship sinks it before it gets there.
2- It has worked better for me to use both wings, ideally having two of my wing groups converging towards an enemy group from different angles of approach -for instance from 7 o'clock and 2 o'clock-, in a way that whatever direction the enemy group takes to face the threat represented by one of my groups, it will always present their backs to my other group.
3- Once this "envelopment" is achieved, my ships facing theirs try to "fix" the front ships by grappling them while my other group proceeds to ram from behind those grappled ships.
4- I prefer to keep my leaders out of harm's way by making them stay on a second line.
This is really a great game.

Nice tips :)

I usually try the converging wings approach, but I'm really careless about my leaders.
Remember not to reveal all your tricks anyway hehehe.

If you want you can join the tournament and test your strategy against experienced commanders ^^

Ichili, thanks for these great tips. I am fumbling around, getting sunk by the AI, and you have given me some hope.

Despite what the developer said, I encourage you to share all the tips you want. I really need the help!

the manual should actually include some tips like these, for those of us who need them.

Regards,

Vaalen
