Diplomatic pouch

In a pbem game is there any way to reopen the messages your opponent sends once you close them?
It would also be handy to be able to write text in the diplomatic pouch while doing the turn.

What you could do is keep a running commentary in Notepad and then when the Diplomatic Pouch presents itself
just copy and paste it in the DP and send that. Note that the DP seems to be truncating long messages.
