No End of Turn file

Post by Annabelle1993 »

I've played like ten online turns now, only once was an "End of turn, do not send" .sal file generated. It is creating a huge challenge for my AAR attempt. Could it be the stupid windows administrative privilege conundrum? -Annabelle

What about the autosave files? Even PBEM, server or not, they should be there.

I have an auto.sal from a hotseat game, an auto.sce(what is this for?), and all of the (scenario name_turn#).pbl files which I can't open because of password prompt. So no luck [:(] -Annabelle

Peculiar, I dare say so. Never bothered to open the auto.sce; so, as for other scenarios you played, no PBEM, ain't any autosaves there at all?

Alas, no option I could find in Opart4.ini, it must have auto-saved turn by turn when the sitrep log was on. Because...

fb.asp?m=4385966

That's how I saved turns to let players replay my Tutorial '41 step by step.

Let's see if some other lad (or lass) has encountered the same issue as described by you.

So far only hotseat games are generating end of turn autosaves. I'll have to live with it for now. BTW your AAR looks hilarious. -Annabelle

That, I am afraid, I do not know. Perhaps works with the old style of swapping .PBL (not via the server), too? Who could say? I am quite confident some of the PBEM++ via server peeps will pop up shortly and, shall we say - enlighten us about the subject in question?

As for you remark 'hilarious', I do take it as a compliment; too many typos in some of the speech balloons though, sigh.
