Cannot install Steam version

I bought the game via Slitherine, registered the Steam key. When I download the game on Steam it let me select a directory, creates a game folder, but is not downloading anything. The folder remains empty, size of game is 0kb. When I click play, cannot find autorun.exe

steam settings
web browser, clear both
then downloads, clear download cache

which will log you out and restart steam, where you will need to input your steam username and password, so make sure there handy etc before trying

and then it will come down

Thank you for support. I tried all steps, clear browser cache/cookies in Steam, clear download cache, Steam restarts and asked my username and auth code.

Still the same problem. When I click install I see the box to select my directory, but there isn't the amount of data showing what will be downloaded, what happens normally.

If I click next I have to accept the download agreement, and Steam tells me download is finished, it creates the folder, without any data in it. When I click play it misses autorun.exe

you may have just been one of the few who jumped on the download too early as this one pasted a few mins after i posted my suggestion on how to force a download etc in steam

so uninstall the empty folder in steam and retry, as then at least hopefully you will then see the download starting, with data in it and not an empty folder / download, hopefully

I bought the game yesterday and registred my Steam key yesterday as well.

Today when I download it download just the empty folder. If I delete the empty folder and try all steps again (clear cache, restart etc) still the same problem.

I see the download box pop up, but without the normally shown est download time and size.

just tested, same results, seem steam hasn't updated as of yet and the cache hasn't deployed the game, have posted the same to staff for them to advice on what to do next, which is atm for a guess is we need to wait awhile longer for steam to deploy it[:(]

No problem at all, I'm used to it as an early bird

At least I can play the Slitherine version, would be nice to show my Steam friends my good gaming taste as well!
Good to know I'm not the only one, I thought I messed up my Steam.

tried it 3 times now, with no luck, so have passed it back to full staff support to see if there's an issue with the steam cache not deploying the file atm

I've just installed and tried playing the Steam version without any problem.

yes, early problem was solved very quickly so only effected a small few who tried very early on
