Game mechanic issue

Post by goodwoodrw »

There is an issue that bothers me with unit limitations in entering certain terrain hexes.
For example the screen shot below. I can't understand why motorised and mech units can't enter certain hexes such as escarpments and in the example below Badlands.
In this screenie I have found several enemy units which I have attacked and have overrun several times and they have retreated into a badlands hex, which basically become a sanctuary for them as the motorised units can't fire or enter into the hex. There is something wrong with game mechanics here as motorised and mech infantry normally dismount to fight. Basically the bad guys in the badlands can bare their bums and poke their tongues at the mounted infantry as long as they like cos they are safe as houses, they could hold up a mech army as long as there is not sufficient ground pounders to assault the position. Can this be fixed or changed.

It's a long way to take an infantry unit on foot, but might have to be done don't want pesky small elements outflanking and cutting off supply, must check to see if my wellington go that far.
