Purchasing the physical manual

Post by Rainbow7 »

I purchased the digital download, but I’m now thinking I would have liked the printed manual. I don’t see an option to just purchase that at this point. Right?

Yeah, I'm wondering about this too. I don't care about the 'box' and having another useless piece of CD plastic, but the printed manual I would like to have. Mostly to avoid having to print hundreds of pages at work - it's kind of frowned upon [8D]

I may be wrong but think there will be a cd sleeve attached to the cover of the manual, not a physical box.
You can order the upgrade here from the store page ( i can't post links, but you can google something like "matrix games upgrade to box"

Yeah I know about the upgrade to "box", which as you say is probably just a CD attached with sticky tape to the manual... and the CD goes straight into trash, since it's outdated the moment it's printed...

http://www.matrixgames.com/store/boxedupgrade.asp

It would make the shipping cost, of almost the same as the game, even more inexplicable.

For me the "box" upgrade costs NOK 133 (USD 16), and the *shipping* costs with DHL International (the only option), NOK 332 (USD 40)... it's just absurd [8|]

If you print the PDF of the manual it arrives in A4 format. Any hard copy manuals I have seen from Matrix are the same size as a CD box with small writing to match the small size.

So what are the dimensions of the hard copy manual?

The upgrade is only available at the time of purchase of the game. I already bought the download, and now I was hoping to get the upgrade for the manual, but that doesn’t seem possible.

It's strange, I've bought other manuals months after buying the game (dc:barbarossa). You should be able to upgrade toaw iv as well, from the link posted by Shadrach (not from toaw iv store page).

You’re right - I hadn’t actually followed the link. Had only searched from the store. Thanks!
