Question about besieging resources

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Question about besieging resources

Post by OxfordGuy3 »

The manual says "Any resource except for a Capital or Fortress that has 2 or more enemy units adjacent to it will have its strength reduced by 1 point per turn until it reaches 0." - are there any other requirements, e.g. do the besieging units have to have supply >=5 and/or strength >=5, or is that only need for triggering unit desertions at supply 0/1? Thanks

Hi

For besieging resources the engine is only checking for units being present.

It works on the theory that if the besiegers are weak and/or on low supply, then it's up to the defender to beat them up and drive them off rather than sit there quietly under siege. If the defender is too weak to do this, then the siege continues...

Thanks! But to force desertions at 0/1 supply has more stringent requirements, right?
