German Fortified Zones

Post by BK6583 »

Details details. Playing the D-Day 44 campaign as the Germans. Two fortified lines are on the map - all set at a TOE of '11'. Do I leave them alone or set their TOEs at a much higher level. I realize this uses valuable manpower resources, but what good are they at their present TOE settings?

Leave them at that. It's enough so that the fort levels don't degenrate. It might be worth it to attach construction units to or stack combat units with certain fortified zones in the West wall to make sure that they build up to level 3 befor the allies reach them. The ones along Alps can be ignored as they'll most likely never be attacked.
