At some point the game just ain't worth the candle

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

At some point the game just ain't worth the candle

Finally got the community content package to download. Now when I try to open it, it tells me to update the game and directs me to the members site for the update. To download the update I have to provide "a user name and password." My Matrix Member user name and password don't work. This is supposed to be my leisure time. I give up.

You don't need the community content package to play the game. Worry about that later, and just enjoy the game with the default scenarios for a while.

Johnnie,

sorry you are having problems. Please contact support@slitherine.co.uk so they can help you out. This is related to users having accidentally created multiple accounts with varying passwords on different parts of the site. We've created a system to try and force users to merge their accounts automatically but it doesn't always works as its too complex and then support have to manually help sort it out.

Drop them a mail and they'll sort you out. We definitely don't want you spending leisure time like this!

Iain,
I have been an active forum contributor since SC3 came out, and a long time computer and board War game user since 1961.

I want you to know your support is superb.

You can make some of the people happy all of the time and all or the people happy some of the time. You can only strive to make all of the people happy all of the time. Keep striving. [:)]

This sounds like a problem with the unified login system that Matrix/Slitherine has made.
