Opportunity for Matrix Games: youtube is demonetising many weapons-related channels after Vegas

Post by Perturabo »

So, I think it's an opportunity for companies like Matrix Games to do direct sponsorship of some realism-oriented channels.

For example Skallagrim got demonetised and he's advertising direct sponsors now. Sadly it's some crappy online game now which is completely irrelevant to what he does as he talks about historical martial arts.
I think that the games that Matrix Games offer could be much more attractive to his audience.

Someone else already had this exact idea and approached Metatron about it. He accepted.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

I know. It would be better if they'd be approached by companies that actually cater to grognards, like they do, though.
I decided to post about it here because I saw that lame Viking game in and it just reminded me how much the gaming industry hates us and then I remembered that there are still grognard companies out there and that it could be an opportunity for them.

For some reason its so funny to me to see Metatron sitting around McDonalds eating fries and playing on his phone.

Looks like Metatron has following around here. Hey Matrix & Slitherine types! Throw him some games & cash to play with! I recommend Pike and Shot, Sengoku Jidai, and Field of Glory 2 to start with.

Field of Glory 2 is right up his alley. But he should be wearing period helmets when playing.

I'll be honest I dont understand what we're talking about here :)

If we're talking about sponsored videos, they're not very cost effective and we prefer people to want to look at the game, not pay them to as the coverage we find is much better and the money is better spent elsewhere. If its something else I'm not sure what it is!

How about just handing over the game in exchange for video review and no other payment? I'd like to see what professional language teacher and amateur historian Metatron would say about Field of Glory 2. Historical accuracy and realism are big things for him, though he plays Dark Souls and other fantasy games too.

[edit]
This could also benefit game developers as they can learn from feedback about what part of the history and combat represented in the game they got right and where they went wrong. I toss you couple videos about
Where they go wrong
What they got right

I'd rather see "Angry Joe" do Matrixgames/Slitherine games; he's more popular and has a larger crowd. He's also hilarious when he doesn't like a game like Rome Total War II.

"Angry Joe" more popular, yes if you like juvenile and backyard bully types, he reminds me of someone here...[8|]
