Hey Dave, not sure how your deal sits with your ex-publisher but ...

Is there any possibility of getting the original while waiting for the second edition to show up? I have searched high and low in stores to no avail. The lack of a manual in the demo (tutorials are great though) pretty much precludes serious learning beyond the interface.

I'd like to get skilled up prior to the new one shipping and seem to have missed the boat here. I don't mind if the only option is a large ftp transfer.

I'm not sure how much you'd want to pay (if anything at all given that the new game seems imminent, if a touch slippy:) ) but you might want to check out European/UK stockists who should still have some copies of the CDV published edition.

David, for someone who just got out of hospital after the 3rd heard attack in a year, late Aug/Sep just may be a tad too late if you know what I mean ;)

Too bad you don't take pre-pre-orders and ship betas :(

I just ordered RDOA from a shop in England a week ago. Got it delivered in less than a week. Total was about $48.

It's the CDV version, which means the manual is PDF, but I feel its worth it.

The direct link to the English site is http://duchet.com/ENGLIST/jscfrmw.htm

If you order, pay the extra couple of bucks for AirMail.

Got it ... Love it! been playing non-stop since I got home last night.

Anyone who is waiting to buy for the next version, don't bother waiting, you are really missing a fantastic game.

The AI is simply amazing compared to anything else I have ever seen and I don't make that statement lightly!

Where's my crown? ;)

Many thanks. You will be pleased to know that I think the AI in HTTR is MUCH, MUCH better. Enjoy RDOA. HTTR heaven is on the way. :)

Dave, you can't have a crown, it already belongs to our Queen:p

Good to see we have another convert to the cause in the 'Fragster':)

You guys certainly need more publicity, had I ever seen it in stores here, I would have bought it instantly as I spent a few thousand days in V4V: Market Garden.

This is also the perfect game for Uncommon Valor folks to fill in their spare time while waiting for PBEM turns to be returned :D

I've just acquired 'Uncommon Valour' which is the 1st hex-based game for the PC that I've owned - takes me back to playing the AH game 'Coral Sea' when I was young. Once I feel ready to PBEM then I'll be totally set up;)
