I know they are coming in low, but Oscars at 3000 feet, and their were 4 on station, usually intercept anything low prior to the attack.

I'm thinking more about the game algorithms regarding how far away the CAP is from the attackers when the raid is spotted. I think they are doing a decent job about it.

Heard this AAR won an Oscar. Congrats! Enjoy it while it lasts. Remember, on a long enough timeline the survival rate for everybody drops to Zero...

A few days ago I posted the pilots of a Rufe squadron, set to 20% CAP, and 80% training.

The best pilots are definitely getting a workout flying a lot of missions...about 10 pilots improved their air skill yesterday.

I find this very interesting, despite the very low N of 1.[;)]

Image

Their mission number being 1 but clearly showing 2 days or more of increases (the green Air occurred on the latest day, the orange Exp occurred on some prior day) supports the idea that Training missions are not "Missions" in this column - only CAP missions.

Now that you're famous, what will you do with all that fame? Here's the link: http://www.matrixgames.com/news/2474/Sl ... ity.Awards!

Also, in today's climate in the entertainment biz, certain favors are out of the question, but do you at least get a free game out of it? A $5 discount coupon?

Cheers,

April 24, 1942

Its one am, and already two attempts on the stricken Mutsu...and it looks like the Allies might be heading her way with surface ships. Uh.oh!

It is now 2am, and a screen of 5 destroyers shows up to join two other task forces shepherding the Mutsu, and the Mutsu is itself gets 8 ASW ships (SC and PB).

Maybe, just maybe the Mutsu will live.

She is also making good time...

IJNAF sorties a few bombers for night time torpedo runs, obviously a skill we need to work on, since we can't get a hit.[;)]
