Question about Bootcamp 4 and wrecks.

Post by bflm1 »

I just finished Bootcamp 4 scenario and I was surprised I was able to pass through "hamada" hex containing 8 wrecks with my 2 rover platoons (12 SP total) but the same rovers were unable to pass through "rough" hex containing only 7 wrecks.

Why is that?

With a Land Rover unit selected, if you press the F2 key to summon the Unit Handbook, you will see (in the Full Hex column) where it says "Rough 0". The 0 is an indication that Land Rovers are not rated to enter Rough terrain, regardless of how many wrecks may or may not be there. (It also says "Hammada 16", i.e., because 16 != 0, the unit can enter a Hammada hex at the cost of 16 APs per hex. 0 indicates no can enter.)

BTW, in the forthcoming CSME 2.0 (to be released Real Soon Now), note how much better the Unit Handbook will be:
