Feature Request - (R)ange key sticky

Post by Mr.Frag »

I know you can hit the R key to have weapon ranges displayed for individual units, but I'd love to see that as a toggle option as well in the new version.

I understand it will probably be a horsepower drain (hence on/off toggle).

Since this range is a matter of life and death :D being able to see what you are doing with multiple units deployed with overlapping fields of fire would be quite useful me'thinks.

Coming from Hex based games where you are either IN the hex or NOT in the hex, the learning curve on this is quite severe in nature. I've slaughtered far too many poor Paras already :(

How much did you want for them Hospital Units Dave?

Hospital Units!! Obviously you've got more money than sense. ;)

I'll add your request for the range rings to our wish list.

You can see the range rings for multiple units by group-selecting those units and pressing the F key (for Fire) - just make sure you press Esc when finished to avoid actually issuing a new order.

You don't know the half of it! :(

I ran head on into KG von Allworden nicely elevated in some trees. By the time he was finished with me and I actually knew what I had walked into there really wasn't much left of the 504th. I ran out of ammo before I could crack open that JagdPanzer. I tried to flank him, but didn't step far enough outside the range to do so so I just kept getting repulsed.

Thanks for the tidbit Golf, didn't realize I could do a group select like that instead of just a unit at a time ...
