Possibility to host mp games?

Post by Zakhal »

Anyone who has played vga planets (shareware game that sold over 100000 copies) knows what i mean. 11 players playing the same game. All players send their turn to the host (one of the players) who then processes the turns and players then download the turns.

Empire in the arms has many nations and it would be much more fun (more political plots, backstabbing etc boardgaming style) with more than 2 player multiplayer.

Also you could take advantige of the host copy protection. Each sold vga planets unit had a special id code. The host always checked whether all the players were using seperate codes. If two of the same were found, their turns were not processed.
