Turn Normalization Questions

I never truly paid attention, but assumed that MPP are normalized over the longer Spring, Fall and Winter turns.
I always presumed from the sometimes multiple showings of the USA to USSR shipments at the end of turns.
Is it true?

Secondly, is research normalized? It would be odd if research in winter was 3 times slower than summer.

1. No the MPPs are not normalized, but this can be edited in the Editor to create a custom campaign that would have the MPPs normalized for the different length turns.

2. Research is also not normalized and just turn based no matter how long the turns are.

These are the reason because i mainly build units during autum - winter turns and made "more" research during spring - summer turns (of course, it depends on the situation, but for Russia and US before their DOW's it's ok).
