I can't host games but can join. What could be wrong? Firewall?

Hi Matti!

I had problem with my firewall also before now when I play online I close my firewall down, you might try to play with the firewall setting but it never works for me.

That was fast :) But if i haven't got firewall? I'm not sure :confused:

Tankhead: I think the deal is, though there may be an easier way to do it, that the reason you have to knock off the firewall is because firewalls need reinstalling "after" something as critical as Windows has to be reinstalled. I'm going through that now. When I reinstalled Windows, for some reason that totally threw the firewall off, so that it only works as totally blocking, even if it's in the filter traffic mode, or not blocking at all. I'm going to reinstall mine today, and that ought to clear up the problems I've been having trying to access the internet after I reinstalled Windows 98SE.

Matti.. try talk to your ISP. Perhaps they can help you with the issue. Usually they want to know port numbers etc that the game uses.. and that I can't help you with unfortunately. Paul V?

Are you using internet connection sharing? That causes the decribed problem.
