New Year......New Game?

Post by fabertong »

Hi,

I find myself with time to start another game.

I have 12 PBEM games under my belt with one still in play. All but one as the Japanese...but I would like to play as Allies for only the second time.
My last game as Allies, Miller won with ease....but I hope I learned a valuable lesson or two.

My game in play will still be a priority but I still can manage a day a turn....after the opening few turns. Would expect my opponent to do the same.

I would like to play stock either Scn 1 or 2 as Mods give me a headache.

Open to discuss any HRs.......can supply references if required.

David

Hey,
I might be interested in that. Ive just returned to the game after being gone since 2012-something. I used to be a pretty reliable opponent, up until a divorce which just crashed me out of all forms of computer gaming. But now since that is out of the way, I can manage a day a turn too.

Stock is fine with me. I have played about a dozen pbem-games myself.

Houserules...Im fine either way. In my opinion, during the cource of the game, issues will arise, and I think its best to discuss them as they pop up. I dont really have any strong feelings either way. I guess the "just one port-strike during turn 1"-rule makes sense though.

Great.......Pick Either Scn 1 or 2......we can discuss any HRs as they arise.
Agree about port strike turn 1.....perhaps also paying PPs to move troops from Manchuria to China?
Let me know.

Great, I pick scenario 2 then. Could always use that extra little help. Its a long war afterall.

I agree on the PP-payment HR. What is your opinion on first turn invasions using warp speed? Is it ok if I attack places like Mersing or Kuching?

Attack where you will.....I have no problem with that.

I would like to be able to issue orders to the Chinese on turn 1 as they are already at war.....but no other orders issued to other Allies as they are not ....if that is OK.

Also, if you want, you can give orders to Force Z and the two US CVs at sea. I never did like the insta-death of Prince of Wales.

So, I think it is fair to give you this heads up:

During the morning hours of December 6th, several large Japanese warships were spotted east of Mindanao, heading south. The B17 crew who saw them report that one or more might be CVs, it was difficult to determine however, and contact was lost because of bad weather. A Dutch naval search plane operating in the Celebes Sea area was lost later during the afternoon. No sign of the crew and no distress call was made. Also, a civilian cargo ship sent a distress call from the area that was interrupted and contact could not be reestablished.

Due to this information, I think it is fair to allow you to give orders to any allied forces at sea, and to change any CAP-setting you want in the NEI area.
