The hour is late and I need to wake up early tomorrow so I did only naval moves.

Here are CW and US instructions for the rest of the impulse:

Debark INF div to Pago Pago.

Rebase CVP from Leeds to North Sea on CV Furious.
If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

Nord 2:

Germany DoW on Belgium.

Land action (next one must be combined to take empty Brussels and to get CPs to Baltic Sea).

Germany uses almost all planes this impulse to take Antwerp if 2 units are placed to Antwerp.

Port strike:
Liverpool. If Germany gets 2 surprise points (rolls 4 higher than CW) we get D on TRS.

Ground strike:
5 strength Stuka bombs Antwerp if there are 2 strongest units and plane lands to Rotterdam. Remaining planes provides enough ground support to make that attack 7:1.

Rail moves:
ENG from Poland to Karlsruhe
ART from Poland to 53,34 with ARM HQ
7-3 INF from Breslau to Frankfurt
Allied did as expected, so instructions above stands.
If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

I made plans for China but I forgot to post that picture.

You can move Chinese as you see the best. I planned to move only few units (almost surrounded unit in north one hex west, Peking MIL 2 hexes SE to resource hex and MIL in SW China one hex SE.

Game 3

I almost suggested full pass, but Nationalist need to move.

Here is my plan. What do you think? Any other Major Power need to move? Maybe Communist units need to take one step south?

Game 4

Any attacks, rebase or something for Japan/Italy. If so, I only move my units and continue tomorrow.

Game 3:

I do not want to pass since I want Axis to end the impulse.

And CW and France should move. We made a slight mistake that can be remedied now. Or so I think.

Two attacks by the Japanese. And rebases. I think continuing tomorrow is the best option. Really, really tired.

I think we need to sleep on the plan for the Chinese. We are not in agreement here but that may be because you see some dangers that I do not. I think the situation is delicate and we should plan carefully.

Game 4:

Japan makes two land attacks.

1) All adjacent units, including HQ, attack Sian. ENG provide benefits to the 6-3 INF for odds 31.5:7 or rounded 32:7. Japan only provides HQ support if China provides HQ support. The Ki-32 provide 2 points of ground support and land in Tungkwan. Final odds expected to be 34:7. ENG takes first loss and the motorized division takes the second loss. If the combat hex is captured then the 8-3 INF and the GARR advance into the combat hex. The AT advance into the combat hex if it is organized.

2) All adjacent units, including HQ, attack the Chinese 17th Army in hex 84, 141 for odds 33:3 or automatic. China can provide defensive ground support and if it clears then the attack will be 7:1+1 instead of automatic and that is acceptable. However, Japan will try and shoot down the Chinese aircraft if they have the opportunity to do so. 4-3 INF advance into the combat hex.

Rebase:
Ki-32 in Sasebo rebase to hex 76, 141 West of Chengchow.

No reorganization.

Game 3:

I am concerned with the neutral Italy and their possibility of invading during the surprise. I forgotten that I planned to send the French fleet from Oran so that the port could be secured from invasions by railing the CW territorial in Morocco to Oran. Therefore I plan to take a combined with France and sail with the Oran fleet although I am open for suggestions to where to send the fleet. Maybe it should go to Cape St. Vincent and get a new base in West France until Italy has joined the war?

Sounds good. CW rail their TERR to Oran.

I think Germany attacks Belgium next impulse hoping for double impulse.

They might although I think it depends on the weather. With a +2 die modifier the weather can get even worse.

I do not think I would mind a late Jan/Feb DOW on Belgium. That is a risky operation, and might guarantee that the Belgian fighter survives even with placement in Belgium.

Game 3

My plan:

CW and US combined, China land action.

Port attack Kiel (there is one good CA) with LND Boston and 2x CVP Swordfish. If intercepted, CVP Gladiator intercepts. If one CVP is shot down, both planes land to same CV.

If port attack is intercepted, ATR Harrow bombs Hamburg going one hex north from where it starts so that it cannot be intercepted.

Naval move
Some non necessarily submarine moves.
(French ships to CSV, can they go to box 1 so that they protect CPs next turn?)

Rail move
TERR from Morocco to Oran.

Land move
Burma TERR north adjacent to partisan, The Queens will take Sydney MIL to Burma next turn. And Maybe Delhi MIL is railed to Chittagong where it can walk to Burma?

My plans still stands for China, retreat [:)]

SA INF debarks to Suez.
If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

Game 3:

This is my suggestion for China.

Here follows a few comments.

1) The Communists do not move. The need for strong defence on the mountain railway hex is the main reason for this. The other reason is that the Communists has no reinforcements on the way.
2) Chungking MIL moves to the NE to assist in the central mountains.
3) The encircled 6th Army does not move. This in an attempt to slow the Japanese and get them to use their air power on ground striking this army instead of other targets. I prefer not to disorganize it for Japan. And I rather have the Japanese focus here than any other location in China. And moving it doesn't secure the supply route to the 1st Army.
4) The Kunming MIL continue to transfer to a location where it can be used as a second line unit.
5) 1st Army and the AT doesn't move. The flank protection to the Northern railway is to important. I see no real danger from a breakthrough in the central mountains. It is very tough to actually get supply through that route. They need at least one railway to get supply and Changsha blocks one route and Sian the other. Kunming the third. Nationalists have reinforcements on the way that can help if needed.
6) I prefer the 1st INF DIV to stay where it is but it can advance towards NE and threaten to liberate Ichang. Because the guaranteed bad weather for next impulse combined with river and mountains the odds Japan gets on is perhaps 5:1. And that might be worth it as a distraction? Although this move is not possible if the 6th Army has retreated.
7) If Japan makes any attack then the Chinese production increase somewhat. (1 or 2 BPs depending on productions points available)
8) Japan has several units and a strong HQ on the Changsha front and might activate it. The canton MIL is the only reserve there and should in my humble opinion remain as reserve there.

Why communist can't leave Mao alone behind river line (in bad weather)? Then Sian MIL can go one hex SE and INF/MIL can take Nationalist place on mountains SE of Sian?

That way we can keep Nationalist units alive.

Something like this? Sure we can move like this.

My scattered thoughts on why I am not all that fond of it.

1) If turn ends and Japan moves first with fine weather then Mao is at risk. Albeit the odds of the attack is low.
2) The hex SE of Sian can be attacked even in bad weather. If the hex is captured then Sian is threatened and the Communists will need to retreat and the Nationalists are unable to assist.
3) Communists has no reinforcements on the way.
4) The Nationalists in the Ankang area risk being stuck in the mountains the next turn as well if the weather is rain.
5) I do not mind losing one Chinese unit per turn. Especially if the hex it guards is of lower importance. And even more so if Japan hasn't attacked earlier in the turn and it increase the production.

I suppose it comes down to that I fear that Japan will make an attack this turn and I thought that the Nationalist there as a bait that Japan might choke on. If Japan is unlucky with ground strikes it isn't all that good attack and it has annoying ZOC. I do not fear Japan breaking through the central mountains. Having Japan fighting there costs him time and us units that can be replaced. Hopefully. I fear Japan focusing on the Sian railway or the Changsha railway.

Game 3:

Anyway. You are in charge of the Chinese front so we will proceed as you decide. It surely isn't bad to try and save units. [:)]

Do you want to do the entire impulse? Not much for France and USSR to do so I can post instructions.
