New terrain?

Post by JJKettunen »

Hi all!

It was not until last Thursday I purchased RDOA :o , but was already convinced by the demo when it first came out. Naturally, I'm really looking forward to HTTR.

I was wondering if there's new terrain added to HTTR? The map editor of RDOA is rather limited in this regard, but otherwise it allows superb detaility (scenario designing is really where I get my kicks). I'm also dreaming that this game system could be some day used to model battles of the Eastern Front. :)

Keke,

While we have a fixed number of terrain types, in HTTR you will be able to change a terrain type - rename it, alter its values and customise the graphics. So you can convert polder into bocage for instance. There is a lot more functionality in the MapMaker now. You can readily cut up a map and import an existing map and append it to another etc.

As to Eastern Front battles. Well there's always tomorrow! :)

That sounds reasonable regarding terrain. I'd think Polder and Heide will be the most "re-used". Wouldn't dikes make nice trenches with a little bit of tweak?

So how much money I will have to send you to make it your top priority? :D
