This game is surprising!

This exciting new release is a faithful adaptation of the renowned Conflict of Heroes board game that won the Origins Historical Game of the Year, Charles Roberts Wargame of the Year and the James F. Dunnigan Design Elegance Award, as well as many others!

Designed and developed in cooperation with Uwe Eickert, the original designer of Conflict of Heroes, and Western Civlization Software, the award-winning computer wargame studio, no effort has been spared to bring the outstanding Conflict of Heroes gameplay to the computer. Conflict of Heroes includes an AI opponent as well as full multiplayer support with an integrated forum and game lobby. To remain true to the core gameplay of the board game, the PC version is designed to be fun, fast and easy to play, though hard to master. The game design is also historically accurate and teaches and rewards platoon and company-level combined arms tactics without overwhelming the player with rules.

This game is surprising!

Conflict of Heroes is a good little game with huge expansion potential.
It's really a shame that its development has been abandoned by its creators and that this kind of old school wargames is not so popular among the players who attend this forum ...

In any case, I am having a lot of fun with the modding possibilities it offers. [;)]

It's sad, but it could have been (maybe it can still?) Become the real computer adaptation of the Advanced Squad Leader concept.

I can easily play the ASL scenarios that I want by integrating the graphics of one of the hundreds of ASL boards I own and inking the appropriate units.

I still like and play this game, as well as the board game it was derived from.

The counters you have created look great and are in just the right style to match the existing counters. [:)]

I feel the same. Loved the game when it came out. Just a little more support would have been great.

I have already done the mod for Conflict of Heroes Guadalcanal (with boards and counters) but I have not created any scenarios yet.

If you have the desire and the skills to create scenarios, I can make this mod accessible (after a little cleaning, because it is quite experimental for the moment).

Sure... [;)]

I prepare the files (and instructions to install the mod) this week-end.

I hope some of you will create scenarios for this mod and share them (because scenario creation is not my forte)....

In the meantime, here is something to wait ...

Ok, Cleaning is finished...

I'm just writing installation instructions. All could be ready to download in a few hours.

This is the advantage with this game, the games does not last very long and is very intense nonetheless. [:)]

Wow, that is really impressive! I've got the AtB 2d Ed and PoH modules of the boardgame, love the latter especially. Too bad the next titles seem to be taking their time, I was really looking forward towards the France 1940 title.

As for CoH the computer game, my +1 on what a shame it has not been continued. I rather liked how it emulates the board game, quite immersive for sure.

Now that you're on a roll you need to do the PoH variant too, yes? [:)]
