as you can clearly see, worked right out of the box, install was quick and easy and this test pc didn't have an older version to uninstall first either, but did already have a few windows 10 alterations done

also has a few files pre installed

Image

plus DirectX 9.0c

almost all of above aren't needed for the game shown, i just show i load all files which are needed with a installer, so if it's included i install it, no matter if i already did the day before, just in case, and never as yet had an issue with one not working etc.

Hi, purchased the game today I've severe problem with lag and scrolling map. Choosing units are also difficult.

My system is Win 10 64 bit also:
Intel core processor i5-3210 2.50 ghz, 12 gb ram with 2 graphic cards in my laptop. HD graphics 4000 and Geforce Gt 620M.
Is it hardware related or win 10 is the problem?

I am sorry to hear that, gamer78

Try this: Menu - Options - Auto Scroll OFF.

Now you get the scroll bars to move the map around. Does the problem persist still?

In addition to what Crossroads suggests, you might also try, all in Windows Explorer:

[*]Right click on the Middle East.exe, select "Create shortcut". This will create a new shortcut named "Middle East - Shortcut".
[*]Right click on the shortcut, select "Properties".
[*]In the General tab, change "Middle East - Shortcut" to "Middle East no3D", as you wish.
[*]In the Shortcut tab, in the Target field, append -z0 after the program path as follows:

Image

Then launch the game using the new shortcut, not the usual EXE file.

By using the -z0 option, it restricts you to playing the game in 2D only, no 3D. Half a loaf is better than none?

Using no3D mode in this way is the only way I can successfully play the game on my under powered Linux netbook (using Wine). Although it sounds like your rig is more than capable, what Crossroads and I have suggested might help.

Otherwise, it seems your system might be affected by video and mouse driver issues. Make sure your hardware drivers are up to date. Also, early versions of Windows 10 manifested these slowdown problems on a handful of systems (but not on most systems, most worked fine). Are you current in your Windows updates?

Beyond the above, all we can suggest is to open a formal ticket with Matrix/Slitherine tech support. They are best equipped to assist with OS and system level issues.

Good luck.
