Mozart composed much more orderly, predictable pieces than Beethoven who threw a lot of surprises (like the sudden opening of his Fifth Symphony) and pregnant silences at you. I forget which critic it was that said Wagner was not a good composer because he did not know how to use silence.ORIGINAL: geofflambert
So, I'm working on my turn and listening to Beethoven's 9th. There's only one who can be compared to Beet and that's Mozart. Brahms and St. Saens may sound like immitations, but that's not fair to them. So B. was completely deaf when he wrote the 9th. Nonetheless he could hear better than me. Geez
