FALL WEISS II. TAIFUN vs BPINisBACK. To the last man...

December, 1943
Axis forces keep moving over Egypt, both from Lybia and from Iraq / Turkey.
Allies try to hold the lines as much as possible. In the last turn, an Italian Army has been destroyed right, next to El Alamein and an italin Fighter located right benind the unit has receive some damage.
Meanwhile during the last weeks of the game an enormous naval battle has been going on at the North West of Azore Island. Both sides took losses. Italian has lost (i think) 4 - 5 vessels and German maybe 1 or 2. Allies took casualties too.
Convoy lines are free of raiding for a while. That's good!
In Russia, axis forces are retreating in the Finland border... A small light of hope for Soviets.
1944 will be bloody again, but allies are not fully defeated yet!

Our forces keep pushing towards the Suez Canal from the East...

The Suez Canal has been reached from the West. Egypt is defended by the few remaining British troops with no air support. Depleted infantry including 3 corps and 2 armies supported by a few units will not make a stand for long against our 3 Army groups supported by all our available experienced Luftwaffe in support...

I have told BPINisBACK that I will stop our game. In this first turn of 1944 the Allied situation is desperate.

In the USSR Russian troops are hundreds of kilometes away from the key cities of Moscow, Leningrad and Stalingrad...

Our production queue is very long in new units that will add to our huge reserves...

I would like to thanks BPINisBACK, he has been a great opponent, never giving up and fighting in desperate situations...
I think that SC3, as said before by many players, is Axis tilted... Players defending with the Allies have always a very hard time!

Now I took control of the Allied forces in my new game against Crispy and a new version v11 (more historically accurate mod) ... I will meet you there! [:)]

Well, i was cleary defeated by Taifun.
No doubt on it.
I never surrender, however. But i know that my chances were very low since 1942. I was waiting for a "miracle" a "big mistake" from Taifun. But, i never happened (that would be very weird, anyway).
I made some mistakes, i never was able to CA the tactics of Taifun (my main mistake) and Taifun was a very methodical player.
So, big defeat for me!
Thank you very much for the game!
I learnt two big things: diplomacy for Allies (i was used to ignore it) and i have discovered de "small" CV (escort) I "hired" some of them very lately. I think that could be useful for our big battle in the Atlantic ocean.
I will follow your match againts Crispy!!!

Taifun is indeed a very good player, I already feel mismatched against him but I will do my best as well.

Take some solace that I felt the Axis overpowered in 9.1 and got some feedback of the same, but also I am glad to see you see the importance of some diplomacy!
