Problems with Ctrl + shortcuts

When having a unit selected and trying to perform certain actions requiring to hold Ctrl, for example Ctrl+Q for double time, I usually just get the windows "ding" as the command is not accepted. However randomly it does work, especially if I place the mouse cursor over the top bar of the game window while pressing the shortcut keys.

Also, if you don't have any unit selected OR you toggle move/fire mode to fire mode first from toolbar, then ctrl+ shortcuts seem to work. So looks like the problem is connected to the fire mode somehow.

Using Windows 7 pro. Any known fix to this?

Make sure the mouse isn't hovering over the selected unit.

Thanks for the tip. Looks like Ctrl+Q fails any time the cursor is hovering over any hex that has your own units in it, even if it's not the hex where your selected unit is. However not for the leader units for some reason, so it's a bit random..

The thing is, Ctrl is the move/fire toggle. (And friendly fire is possible in this game.) From p. 28 of the Manual:



That's just the way it works.

The ability to assign your own shortcuts would be great btw. Maybe in future updates?
