Attached is a zipped file that contains the new MWIF.exe: version 02.07.05.00. It also contains the Release Notes shown below.

The primary reason for this hot patch is item #1 below, which corrects a problem in Hot Patch 02.07.04.00.

Release Notes for Version 02.07.05.00

All Modes of Play

1. Fixed a newly created bug in calculating supply that in some cases was increasing the time required by approximately times 9.

2. Fixed a hole in the code which was permitting naval units starting at sea to move and end their movement still at sea. This had been possible by passing through a port and picking up cargo in the port.

3. Fixed a problem with carrier air units flying as bombers in a naval air combat not being recognized as part of the air-to-air combat.

4. Fixed a minor problem with having to select a defensive unit twice during Land Combat Resolution in order to get the Shattered and Destroy buttons to appear.

AN UPDATE:

I retried the 2.7.5 version later in the game and these problems did not re-occur. That still leaves me a bit concerned, but maybe it was some other glitch.


Sorry, Steve.

I encountered 3 problems with this new version:

1) After the Naval search which resulted in DA for the CW CP and damage to the CW Carrier and Yugoslavian CL,
A) the selection for the Italian to select Air combat stopped occurring.

2 I did more searches until neither were found
A) I was unable to Abort the CW ships

This earlier problem (identified in your fix) occurred for me:

At that point, I could not complete the phase. It did not crash - just would not allow me to do the Aborts.

This is the last Autosave. I was not able to get past the Abort, so could not save the file.

Any idea how soon Matrix Games is going to catch up to the hot patches? The latest version from the auto updater and the member's area is 2.7.1.
There is no overkill. There is only "open fire" and "reloading."

The updater only stays in sync with the public release. Beta releases and hot patches are released via the sticky thread.
