Ukishima Maru and Naminoue Maru art files / stats

Post by LargeSlowTarget »

Both stock and DBB have it wrong with those two ships, in those scenarios the two ships belong to the "Shanghai Maru" class, do 21 knots and have art portraying a ship with two funnels. This is all wrong.

The two ships should be distinct classes, do 17 knots max - since 16.5kn isn't modable - and have correct art.

Ukishima Maru should actually be an AMC instead of an AP.

See http://www.combinedfleet.com/UkishimaM_c.htm

I have "made" some art files that may serve the purpose - pic stolen from the net and modified to fit the purpose.

The link provides armament. What do you think for range, troops and cargo?

Frankly, I have idea, so I looked for ships of comparable size.

Closest match displacement-wise seems to be the Bangkok Maru AMC and the Kongo Maru AP, so I use some variation of their stats.

I keep the endurance on the low side (i.e. closer to Kongo Maru AP than Bangkok Maru AMC) since in pre-war civilian life, Ukishima Maru was used on the Osaka - Okinawa run, so seems to have been build for short-range ops.
