soft building limits

anybody knows how many tank divisions the English are allowed to build with the soft building in place?
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

I don't think there is a limit. But they get progressively more and more expensive to build.

I think there is a bug, for although the build list shows more division available the production key is blacked out.

There are at 2 conditions with soft build limits under which a build is not available. I am assuming that the first does not apply: If it is before the allowable build date, it will be in red.
The second possiblity is that you lack the funds to build the unit. No deficit spending here. If you click on the grey unit name, it will display the build cost with base cost [modified cost] if the modified cost exceeds your current funds, that is why it is greyed out.

No Plenty of fund and from what I can see only applies to the Brits.

Hi Icier, if you have a saved game where I can take a look I'd be happy to do so. If it is a PBEM++ game, a challenge ID will do the trick and I can take a look that way.

I think I know the answer..Canada is part of the British build & as they are able to build up to 5 div its effecting the Brits list. anyway its a challenge game no 101407.

Hi Icier,

I've looked at the turn and it all looks fine to me. Perhaps there is some confusion on what exactly the unit costs? The first number is the original cost, and the second number in brackets [] is what the unit actually costs. This will include either Production Technology discounts to lessen the costs, and/or the Soft Build Penalty as the cost increases for each unit purchased beyond the default hard limit.

In my test I disbanded a number of units for the UK to increase my MPPs, and then purchased quite a few Tanks, for both the UK and Canada until I had insufficient MPP left to continue to do so.

Also to confirm, Canada will have no effect on what the British can build and vice versa.
