Why aren't M3 halftracks included in Allied TOEs?

Post by sandman2575 »

Why is it that the SdKfz 251 & 250 halftracks are included in the German TOEs, but the M3s are not similarly included in US TOEs for Armored Divs., etc.?

Basic halftracks are part of mechanized infantry (all sides), only specialized versions are available as separate models.
US has several Artillery- or AAA-carrying variants as separate models: T30 75mm HMC,M13/16 GMC as examples
