Accuracy in land combat?

Post by Dili »

Does it matter? and for what kind of device?

I am seeing squads with 0 zero accuracy so i suppose it does not matter for squads, but does it matter for army weapons and AFVs in land combat?

Yes it depends. You see it according to the original game. D.

I have a (old)bad artillery piece(no recoil, rigid mount so slow rate of fire ) versus a good modern cannon. Should i cut on accuracy or cut on anti soft/anti armor in the old artillery?

That is my question.

I am seeing some curious data in Dababes are this typos/mistakes?

So Soviet LMG section range 2 , effect 14, penetration 1, accuracy 30, anti armor 15 anti soft 32

but

US MMG range 0, effect 0 , penetration 0, accuracy 0, anti armor 10, anti soft 30

US M2HB range 1, effect 0, penetration 0, accuracy 0, anti armor 25, anti soft 36

Is this the dili - Dali thread? [;)]

I cannot answer your question, but I wonder if the Soviets were not as vetted as the rest since they only appear at the last of the game.

One of the first patches changed a lot of device data, the US ones might have been changed but the Soviets stayed the same.

DaBabes scenarios are supposed to be done by those in known but they probably could not escape some typo. mistake but this seems too many.

Like i said the question of accuracy is crucial to determine if i cut in anti-soft of inferior artillery pieces.

Thanks US87891

Can you help with my question?
Does accuracy help differentiate between artillery(Type: Army Weapon) in land combat or not? or should i differentiate only by anti-soft value?

I think it is only used against ships, and planes.

It is indeed possible that for land combat only 2 values matter: anti soft and anti hard.

But there is a bombardment phase in land combat i wonder if in that phase accuracy and range matters - for example there is trigger that says only devices with 3 range 5 dameg can bombard.

Range definitely matter during artillery duel, as Japan routinely gets worse results, as war progress. As for accuracy - maybe, but considering poor pure-bombardment results at the war beginning, I doubt it.
