Mods and Steam

Forgive me if this has been answered but I have searched the forums and haven't found this specific issue.
I have the game on Steam and have downloaded the Community Content Mod with no problem. I would like to
download some specific map and counter mods to the base game. However, when I go to the appropriate folder
(C:\Users\markb\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War In Europe), the only files listed are for the
Mod campaigns. There are no base game files or Editor file. I also do not have a Matrix games file in
my Program Files(x86) folder. Appreciate any help. Thanks!

For that you'll have to put base game files in the Steam folder for the game, typically it is the following path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Strategic Command WWII War in Europe

Or go to this thread and follow the link at the bottom of the first post
for (very easy) instructions on how to set up a copy of the/any base scenarios for you to put the mod files into.

This way you can keep the base game scenarios untouched, if you desire.
