Love for small scenarios?

Post by Wikingus »

Since I barely have enough time to sleep as it is I've yet to ever properly play the GC, despite owning this game since it came out. I mean, I've played it a few times over the years, but never beyond a few weeks/months of in-game time. To my eternal regret of course...

Can I get some love for the small scenarios? I rarely see them mentioned, discussed or played (or maybe I just need to get new glasses?).

After getting back into WITP:AE recently I'm slowly getting ready to jump back into PBEM, provided I can guarantee setting aside at least a turn a day. Will look to challenge some of you when that happens. [:)]

Welcome Back!
There are likely other players who can't commit to PBEM but would consider the smaller scenarios - it is even possible for the Japanese to win these!

About four months back there was a newcomer who took on the Thousand Mile War scenario first as Allies, then as Japanese with the AI on the other side. Then he went on to play Guadalcanal vs, the AI , first as the Allies, then as the Japanese.

He was just learning the game then and you could see his progress up the learning curve. I haven't seen him post an AAR in a while but he may be interested in a small scenario PBEM (although most of his readers were encouraging him to start a GC).

Your best bet is to post a challenge in the Opponents Wanted section of the forum.

I played the Guadalcanal scenario to learn the game but after some time you want more [:D]

Anyhow there are some good AARs on Guadalcanal.
