Not sure if you can vs PO.

Section 10.1 (pg 63 of the TOAW manual)

Infers that only PBEM and Hotseat games are exceptions to the variable turn initiative rules of TOAW IV.

And I don't see anything in the update notes that states this was changed.

Found this:

You might try changing the New Turn Order Rules via the Player (Menu) -> Game Options (selection)
It's probably defaulted to "on", so switch it to "off".

Regards

Hope this helps

New Turn Order Rules have nothing to do with one side getting double turns [two turns in succession where the other side does no get a turn in between]. This is called Initiative Switches, and will be avoided by starting in Hotseat and then choosing a side for the computer to play once the scenario has started.

Evidently this tricks the game engine into thinking it's a hotseat game even though you choose a computer side once the scenario has started...

sniffty workaround I presume but there ought to be a menu selection to do just that.

That workaround is currently broke.

Thanks for answers. So I think there is no alternative to double turns, because I tried with New Turn Order Rules on/off but it doesn't work. In my opinion playing in this way is not correct cause sometimes double turn give too much advantages (or disadvantages).

Probably should be an on/off switch for initiative?

It would be nice to have the possibility to choose it or not
